CBZ: Comic Book Zest: 2016

After reading reviews on Comic Vine's Scraper and observing lack of updates on its program, I believe CBZ has developed an viable alternative to scrape desired recent and dated comics from sites such as: Hellocomic.com, Readcomics.net, and Viewcomic.com. Our system uses 3 Google Spreadsheets to scrape the information from the three sites mentioned in the above sentence. The system allows the scraped comics to be converted to PDF for one's offline viewing or collecting. CBZ's system also eliminates the narrowness of only using one comic book reader (namely CBR) and only one comic book database (Comic Vine's database).

The spreadsheets for Read Comics and View Comics run effortlessly and quickly. While the spreadsheet for Hello Comic can at times run sluggishly but gets the job done. The sometimes sluggishness of the spreadsheet is due to the numbering Hello Comic uses. As a result it is recommended to use Hello Comic for more obscure comics that will found in only in Hello Comic's largest database of free online comics. To quickly remedy the sluggishness simply allow the spreadsheet to completely load and paste the comic you want download inside of the spreadsheet. Close the spreadsheet and clear your cookies. Open the spreadsheet and continue to scrape the comics you want to read. I have found the need to open and close the sheet only one time for a long session of scraping comic books. The spreadsheet has recently been altered so the user can see when the comics have started to download quickly.

CBZ also wants to compliment and review View Comic's dedication to their users. If you have a want for a series of comics that is not found on any of the three sites that CBZ scrapes comic books from, all one has to do is request the comic via Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/View-Comic-Online-viewcomiccom-534283636657937. I was floored by some of the requests for 90's titles like Psylocke to be gathered for a request. I went to the other two sites to see if they had the requests as part of their database and the did not. This feature is quickly making Viewcomic.com a truly unique database of comic books.
